JOURNEYS FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL will be kicking off in Manchester with its launch event tonight, 15th October 6:30-8pm, at Holy Name Church on Oxford Road, featuring a beautiful art installation 'Where there is light'. Asylum Matters will be there along with RAS Voice.

Places are free - book here. Journeys continues with a number of other fantastic artistic events across the city from 15-24 October exploring the experience of refugees and global cultures.

On Wednesday the 20th of October there will be a Refugees Welcome rally in London. You can find out more here. 

On Saturday October 23rd, to get involved in Manchester, join the Rally against the Nationality and Borders Bill, 2PM St Peter's Square, Manchester M2 5PD. Join UNISON and supporting organisations to protest and speak out against the Bill.

Throughout the week and on the day of the national demo in London, the #TogetherWithRefugees coalition is calling on people to hold small scale actions and use social media to spread the message against the #AntiRefugeeBill.

North West Unison Black Members Committee is also calling for union and community members to hold small collective protests holding up signs saying “Scrap the #AntiRefugeeBill, #RefugeesAreWelcomeHere and #Togetherwith
