Fiona and Belinda, whose father Rupert Everett was a victim of the Windrush scandal, have spoken out in a powerful video along with GMIAU lawyer Sukhdeep. They speak about the context of why their father was treated so appallingly by the Home Office, and encourage other people affected to come forward and seek support.

In the six months since the fall of Kabul, the government have made big promises of a "warm welcome" for people who had to leave Afghanistan. But the reality for many people, included children separated from their families, is that they were left in limbo. It's more proof that the government is unprepared to deal with the reality of people fleeing their homes and seeking safety.
